Ingredients:
For Bread Pakoda:
- 4-5 bread slices
- 1 cup gram flour (Besan)
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt or as per your taste
- oil for frying
For presentation:
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 potato boiled and mashed
- 1 tomato finely chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/2 cup thin sev
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves (Cilantro)
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1-2 tsp red chili powder
- salt as per taste
- 1-2 tsp chat masala
Method:
For Pakoda:
- Mix all ingredients for bread pakoda except bread. Add water to it - little at a time and form a smooth paste.
- Take a bread slice. Dip it in a besan mixture. Whole bread should get covered with paste.
- Deep fry this slice in an oil till golden brown on medium flame.
Presentation:
- Take a Pakoda in a plate. Cut it in to small squares.
- Put mashed potato on top of these squares. Put finely chopped onion and tomato on it.
- Sprinkle red chilli powder, salt, chat masala.
- Spread Yogurt and tamarind chutney on this.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and sev. Our Bread Pakoda Chat is ready........
Tip:
Tamarind Chutney can be replaced with tomato ketchup.
