Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup grated\shredded coconut
- 7-8 garlic cloves
- 2-3 green chillies
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- sugar(optional)
- 4 tbsp yogurt
- water as per your choice
For tempering:
- 1-2 tsp oil
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- pinch of asafoetida
Method:
- Grind coconut, garlic, chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt and sugar together till thick paste. You may use littler water to ease grinding.
- Remove paste in bowl. Add yogurt and water to it as per desired consistency.
- Heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds. Wait till crackles.
- Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
- Add this tempering to chutney. Mix well.
- Coconut Chutney is ready...
