Ingredients:
For cover:
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp rawa/semolina/ sooji
- salt as per taste
- 1 tsp ghee/oil
- Oil for frying
For stuffing:
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp raisins (optional)
- 1 tsp slivered almonds(optional)
- 2 tsp roasted poppy seeds
Method:
- Mix all ingredients for cover together and knead a dough (similar for chapati) adding water to it. Let it rest for 10-15 mins.
- Mix all ingredients for stuffing together.
- Take a small ball from dough and roll it to thin puri.
- Put stuffing in it and close it forming nice plates to look it like modak.
- Form all Modak and then start frying in pan with hot oil on medium flame.
