This is most favorite dish for breakfast in Maharshtra. Most of times guests are treated with this dish as this is quick and needs less ingredients.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice flakes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 5-6 chopped green chillies
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- salt as per taste (around 3 tsp)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp grated coconut
- 1/4 cup fried peanuts
Method:
- Soak rice flakes. Easy method could be soak the flakes in water for 2-3 minutes and drain all water. Add 1-2 tsp of milk to these flakes and keep them aside.
- Another method could be wash flakes under
- Heat oil in pan. Add mustard seeds to it.
- Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Sauté for few seconds.
- Add chillies. Sauté for around 20 seconds.
- Add onion and salt. Sauté till onion gets translucent.
- Add sugar, lemon juice, turmeric powder.
- Add rice flakes and mix everything very well. Cover the pan and keep it for few minutes (Around 3-4 minutes).
- Again mix everything very well.
- Serve hot by garnishing with coconuts, peanuts and coriander leaves.
