Yield: 2 servings
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 15-20 mins

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups chopped spring onions
  • 2 tbsp tuar dal
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts
  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste

Method:
  1. Wash tuar dal and soak in water for 10 mins.
  2. Heat oil in pan and add cumin seeds. let them crackle.
  3. Add garlic paste. Sauté it.
  4. Add red chili powder and turmeric powder. Just mix it.
  5. Add spring onions. Drain water from tuar dal and add it to subzi.
  6. Add salt. Sauté everything well. let it cook.
  7. Do not add any water. When we add salt to any leafy vegetable, water comes out of it. Dal and spring onions get cooked in that water. Make sure to cover the subzi and stir it occasionally.
  8. Spring Onion Subzi is ready. Serve hot with Fulka\ Chapati.
