This is simple salty snack recipe. In Maharashtra, this is included in Faral during Diwali festival. Faral is a kind of snack dish which consists of different sweet and salty items.

- 500 gms all purpose flour
- 50 gms black pepper
- 1 tsp asafoetida
- 1 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp cumin seeds
- salt as per taste
- water as needed
- oil for frying
Method:
- Grind black pepper to a powder, else lightly crushed back pepper can be used directly.
- Mix all ingredients and a knead a dough by adding water.
- Form small lemon size balls. Roll them to puri and deep fry them 3-4 at a time in an oil.
- Once they come to room temperature, store them in airtight container to preserve freshness.
