- 1 1/4 cup mashed potatoes
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup corn starch/ sabudana flour can be used if you are on fast
- salt as per taste
For Stuffing:
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
- 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
- 1-2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves\ cilantro
- salt as per taste
- Mix all ingredients for stuffing and keep it aside till we prepare a dough. During this time sugar and lemon juice get well incorporated in stuffing.
- Take mashed potatoes and salt in a mixing bowl. Add corn starch little at a time in it because depending on potatoes starch requirement differs. Knead it in order to form nice dough.
- Take a small ball from dough. Make a thin circular cover. Put some corn starch on hands while working with dough so that it does not stick to your hand.
- Add filling to cover and close it. Form a nice ball.
- Deep fry it in oil on medium flame until golden color.
- Serve hot.
Tip:
Corn starch is called as corn flour in India.
