Upawasachi Puri-Bhaji/ Puri-Bhaji for Fasting

Yield: 3 Servings
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins

Ingredients:
For Puri:
  • 1 cup rajagira flour
  • salt to taste
  • oil/ ghee for frying

For Bhaji:
  • 1 1/2 cup boiled and diced potatoes
  • 5-6 chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup boiled peanuts (optional)
  • 2 tbsp ghee

Method:
  1. Take rajagira flour and salt in bowl. Knead it to dough adding water.
  2. Make small balls and roll them using rolling pin.
  3. Deep fry them in oil/ghee till light brown color 2-3 at a time.
  4. Heat ghee for bhaji in pan. Add cumin seeds. Wait till they crackle.
  5. Add green chillies. Sauté them.
  6. Add potatoes and salt. Mix well till tempering gets incorporated.
  7. Cover the pan for 4-5 mins.
  8. Delicious Puri-Bhaji is ready...............

Tip:
If you don't want to eat so much oily, you can choose to roll balls of small size fulka and roast them like chapati. Put little ghee while roasting.
