Ingredients:
For Rasagullas:
- 4 cups milk
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups water
For flavored milk:
- 4 cups milk
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp slivered dry fruits (Almonds, cashew nuts, pistachio)
- 5-8 saffron strands / kesar
Method:
- Soak dry fruits in water for 1 hour or so.
- Slivered them in order to add to flavored milk.
- Heat milk in a pan.
- Boil it to 3 cups on simmer.
- Add sugar, dry fruits, kesar. Mix everything well.
- Heat for 5-10 mins on simmer.
- Follow instructions for Rasagulla side by side with two changes.
-Size of rasagullas should be smaller and shape should be as shown in image.
-Instead of putting them in sugar syrup, put them in flavored milk. - Cover rasamalai and let it cool down to room temperature.
- Refrigerate Rasamalai for at least 6-7 hours.
