Yield: 3.5-4 Kg
Time:
4-5 hours

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg dry dates(yellow)
  • 1/2 kg sugar
  • 1/4 kg almonds
  • 1/4 kg cashew nuts
  • 1/4 kg dink (edible gum)
  • 1/4 kg coconut
  • 100 gms raisins
  • 100 gms poppy seeds
  • 50 gms dry ginger
  • 1/2 kg + 1/2 kg ghee
  • 50 gms fenugreek seeds
  • 100 gm ahaliv (halim seeds\garen cress seeds)
  • 2 pieces nutmeg
  • 100 gms cardamom
  • 100 gms walnuts
  • 1/4 kg battisa powder

Method:


  1. Make a powder of dried dates.
  2. Fry dink in a ghee.
  3. Roast poppy seeds.
  4. Roast fenugreek seeds in few tbsp of ghee.
  5. Roast Ahaliv.
  6. Make a powder of each ingredient and mix all powders together.
  7. Heat ghee till it melts.
  8. Once it is cooled partially, add it to a powder mixture.
  9. Keep it open until it cools completely.
    This can be preserved for 1-2 months
