Ingredients:
- 2 kg dry dates(yellow)
- 1/2 kg sugar
- 1/4 kg almonds
- 1/4 kg cashew nuts
- 1/4 kg dink (edible gum)
- 1/4 kg coconut
- 100 gms raisins
- 100 gms poppy seeds
- 50 gms dry ginger
- 1/2 kg + 1/2 kg ghee
- 50 gms fenugreek seeds
- 100 gm ahaliv (halim seeds\garen cress seeds)
- 2 pieces nutmeg
- 100 gms cardamom
- 100 gms walnuts
- 1/4 kg battisa powder
Method:
- Make a powder of dried dates.
- Fry dink in a ghee.
- Roast poppy seeds.
- Roast fenugreek seeds in few tbsp of ghee.
- Roast Ahaliv.
- Make a powder of each ingredient and mix all powders together.
- Heat ghee till it melts.
- Once it is cooled partially, add it to a powder mixture.
- Keep it open until it cools completely.
This can be preserved for 1-2 months
