Tutti Frutti Pound Cake

Yield: 4-5 Servings
Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cooking Time: 40-45 mins


Pound cake is what we always loved to eat at tea time. There is a range of pound cakes. Lets start with Tutti Frutti flavor.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp orange extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp tutti frutti


Method:
  1. Prepare loaf tin by greasing and flouring. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Make sure to use softened butter.
  3. Add yogurt and mix it well.
  4. Add an egg one by one. Mix it well.
  5. Add vanilla & orange extracts and salt. Beat again.
  6. Add flour and baking soda. Beat well.
  7. Finally add tutti frutti and fold it in batter.
  8. Pour the batter in prepared loaf tin. Bake it for 40-45 mins in preheated oven or until toothpick inserted at center comes out clean.
  9. Once cake is out of oven, make sure to keep it on cooling rack at least for 10 mins.
  10. After removing it from tin let it cool at least for 30 mins.
  11. Delicious tea time cake is ready!!!
