Pound cake is what we always loved to eat at tea time. There is a range of pound cakes. Lets start with Tutti Frutti flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup yogurt
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp orange extract
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp tutti frutti
Method:
- Prepare loaf tin by greasing and flouring. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
- Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Make sure to use softened butter.
- Add yogurt and mix it well.
- Add an egg one by one. Mix it well.
- Add vanilla & orange extracts and salt. Beat again.
- Add flour and baking soda. Beat well.
- Finally add tutti frutti and fold it in batter.
- Pour the batter in prepared loaf tin. Bake it for 40-45 mins in preheated oven or until toothpick inserted at center comes out clean.
- Once cake is out of oven, make sure to keep it on cooling rack at least for 10 mins.
- After removing it from tin let it cool at least for 30 mins.
- Delicious tea time cake is ready!!!
