Ingredients:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar (powdered sugar is preferred)
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (Salted butter will also do. Adjust salt accordingly.)
- 1/8 + 1/16 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
Method:
- Beat eggs very well. This step is important as it will affect end result.
- Add Sugar and beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and just combine it.
- In separate bowl, sift all dry ingredients and them to egg batter. Beat till only it gets combined.
- Heat milk and butter till butter gets melted. Microwave can be used for 15-20 secs for this.
- Add it to the mixture and combine well.
- Pour this batter into greased and floured cake pan
- Bake at 325 degree F for 30-35 minutes. Cake can be tested with toothpick. If it is inserted into center comes out clean, cake is ready to come out of oven.
- Put it for at least 10 minutes.
- Our yummy Vanilla Sponge Cake is ready to eat.
