Many people those are on fasting for vrat, they do not prefer sabudana as it is little heavy. For them Warai\ Bhagar is very good alternative. This is light as well as tasty.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup warai\ Bhagar
- 3-4 finely chopped green chillies
- 1/3 cup peeled sliced potato
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds(optional)
- salt as per taste
- 4 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts
- 2 tbsp ghee
Method:
- Wash warai and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in pan. Add cumin seeds. Let is crackle.
- Add chillies and potatoes. Sauté potato until golden color.
- Add warai and stir it for 1-2 mins.
- Add salt and around 1 cup of water. Stir once to mix everything.
- Cover the pan and let it cook.
- If required, add more water. Water is absorbed depending on warai quality so keep a watch while warai is getting cooked.
- water level can be adjusted in order to get warai cooked soft.
- Serve hot with yougurt or peanut-coconut chutney.
