Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3 tbsp whole milk
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/16 tsp salt
- 1 egg
Method:
- Beat eggs well. This step is important as it will affect end result.
- Add Sugar and beat until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla and just combine it.
- In separate bowl, sift all dry ingredients and them to egg batter. Beat till only they get combined.
- Heat milk and butter till butter gets melted.
- Add it to the mixture and combine well.
- Pour this batter into greased and floured cake pan
- Bake at 325 degree F for 30-35 minutes. Test if cake is ready by inserting toothpick at center comes out clean.
- Cool it for at least 10 minutes.
